WARPING CALCULATIONS, SECTIONAL WARPING CALCULATIONS, DIRECT WARPING CALCULATIONS

WARPING CALCULATIONS:

Warping calculations are very important in fabric manufacturing. The efficient and accurate weaving of any fabric needs exact warping calculations to make a Warper’s or Weaver’s beam.

There are two kinds of warping machines that are used to make a warp beam.

1 – Sectional warping or indirect warping.

2 – Direct warping or beam warping.

SECTIONAL WARPING CALCULATIONS:

Generally, sectional warping is used to make Weaver’s beams of multiplies yarn. The Weaver’s beam having stripes pattern of single-ply yarn is also made on the sectional warping machine.
The fabric parameters required to make a beam on a sectional warping machine are given below:
EPI = 52
Fabric width = 84 inches
Warp regain = 11℅
Reed space = 87.36 inches
Fabric length = 1000 metres
Warp length = ?
Beamwidth = ?
Creel capacity = 240( maximum)
Section width = ?
The total number of sections = ?
Total ends = ?
Now we will discuss warping Calculations

Total ends = EPI x fabric width (inches)
                   = 52 x 84
                   = 4368 ends

Beam width  = reed space( mm) +20 mm
                      = (87.36 x 25.4) mm + 20 mm
                      = 2218.94 mm + 20 mm
                      = 2238.94 mm
                      = 2239 mm ( beam width)

DIRECT WARPING CALCULATIONS:

Direct warping is used to make a Warper’s beams of single-ply yarn.  The number of beams are made and are grouped together during sizing.

The parameters required to make beams on the direct warping machine are given below:

1- EPI = 100
2- Fabric width = 80 inches
3- Maximum creel capacity =  700
4- Fabric length = 1000 metres
5- Calculated creel capacity=?
6- Number of beams=?
7- Required warp length=?
