ADVANTAGES OF RING FRAME PROCESS, AND DISADVANTAGES OF RING FRAME PROCESS



ADVANTAGES OF RING FRAME:

Ring frame has following advantages over the other spinning systems:

1 - The yarn spun in ring frame process poses very good tensile strength properties. 

2 - The ring frame process has a wide range of yarn counts to be spun. Very to to super fine yarn count get spun through ring frame process.

3 - The ring frame process is suitable to spin any type of material. Cotton, wool, flax, rayon, and synthetic  material etcetera get spun successfully and efficiently.

4 - Ring spun yarn has very good evenness properties. The yarn obtained from ring frame process poses very low imperfection in comparison to any other spinning process.

5 - It produces yarn having optimum quality characteristics.

DISADVANTAGES OF RING FRAME:

The disadvantages of ring frame are given below:

1 - Process stages are more numerous. Roving stage exists as an extra process compared to the other systems.

2 - Yarn breakages are more numerous as a result of ring traveller friction and yarn air friction. Interruptions, broken ends and piecing up problems exist because of the yarn breakages.

3 - The fibres get ruptured due to high speed of traveller.

4 - The package obtained in ring frame process has very low content on it.

5 - The power consumption in the ring frame process is very high. This power consumption results in the form of increase in cost of yarn.

6 -The low productivity also affects the production cost.
