The main objectives of wadded Bedford cord weaves are given below:

* Wadded ends help to produce the fabric more economically.

* Wadded ends increase the stability of the structure, warmth, and weight per meter of the fabric.

* Wadded ends help to increase the prominence of the cord.

Method of construction of wadded Bedford cord weave:

* Separate healed shafts are used for wadding ends.

* Wadding ends are lifted on the picks which float below the cord and lowered which intervene in plain fashion. 

* A separate warp beam is used for wadding ends.
